My world has lost its colour.
All i see is black and white,
and shades of grey.
I don't want the world to see me like this.
I need my haven of peace.
To friends who care:
Thank you for walking with me all this way.
To those unknown:
Please give me my haven of peace.

Friday, June 17, 2005 Till Our Love for the game brings us together again...
Hi everyone, sorry for not blogging regularly lately. Been a little busy and also a little down. Promise will continue blogging when i'm better. Been busy with basketball official duties since the Milo Youth Cup is on.. but i doubt i would be busy for long... That explains the down part and also the title for this blog. In 2 days time, alot of my fellow comarades would be quitting a part of the game they love and have been fighting for so long. At this moment, i don't know whether this decision will eventualise. And no matter how much i wish that it won't, i know it somehow would and i understand their stand. What am i talking about? Ok, heck to who may happen to read this by chance. I believe by now most of you guys would know that i got my basketball referee's license 2 years ago. Yes, it's been that long although i admit i have not been out officiate many matches but been stuck doing table duties more often than not. But as compared to many of my seniors, i am but a newbie. And it is this exact reason which makes me feel the hurt even stronger for feeling the pain despite being a new, i can't say i know how this would feel to them. What happened? The referee committee just under went a handover to a group of people whom we do not agree with. I don't deny that i am in no position to judge them but from what i have experienced, learnt and heard, this is the stand which i take; together with many of my fellow comarades. Which is why in a few days time, many of us are calling it quits. It is this hunger and greed for power that has killed the game. Killing a game which so many of us so love. Sad to say, it is for this same reason which i feel is why Singapore's basketball will not be able to progress. I know it still seems like a mess from what i've said but i guess only the people involved would fully understand what is going on.. And it doesn't matter now 'cos nothing else can be done. Anyway, i still strongly believe that it will not kill our love for the game 'cos i know we will still be part of the game one way or another, as a player, a coach, a team manager or even just a spectator. So before even this love is being killed, i pray that someone hears the cries. Meanwhile, to those whom i have worked with and guided me, my seniors, i salute you. Till our love for the game brings us together again...
